Memory Bank

Maybe it's losing 2020 to a pandemic, maybe it's life, but lately I've become acutely aware of the passing of time. The comfort of memories offer a soft landing place during tough times, a source of laughter and common ground with old friends and in the future - they create the bedrock on which we build our legacies - our family traditions, idiosyncrasies, the facial expressions, winks and even previously-annoying habits and soother our sense of loss and grasping that we feel as the days march on. Memory Bank seeks to evoke the most profound and collective experience of motherhood; The perfect completeness of moments and tactile memories that transcend time and place. Memory is always - the past, the present and the future. This image recalls the loving, nurturing, herding, shared wonder of little things and the feeling of little foreheads pressed against our shoulders, embedded into our consciousness and the fabric of time and it's a call to action to be in the sweetness of the moment - to grasp the seconds and to keep them with you always.
